The Harley Sportster is a known beginner bike with the choice of used harley engine being 883. I have had the unfortunate experience of riding a sportster, they have rubber engine mounts which really rattle the hell out of you and your harley gas tanks. The Sportster is a good bike though. No two heads are shaped the same. If you get numbness in your wrists it could be either the bars on the bike are setup right. No but seriously, I go with those who say give it a bit of a knead with your thumbs around where it has pressure points on your head. The Sportster is a good bike though.

Above all else ensure you buy a helmet from a reputable dealer. When you buy a helmet, it's usually the best practice to go to a motorcycle store and wear the helmet for an hour or so.

In simple terms consider what his head is worth to you when you make your decision and if it is not an ACU gold standard don't buy it.
